MIA: The Autoblog Podcast

We used to never lose sleep over missing an episode – or three – of The Autoblog Podcast. But as you may have noticed, we've recently rededicated ourselves to the show with a new group of rotating hosts and swanky new graphics. Sadly, it is my duty to report that these changes will be short lived, as The Autoblog Podcast (and The AutoblogGreen Podcast) is going on hiatus. I know, I know, we were in a groove, why derail all that hard work now? The gist of it is that podcasts cost money to make but don't make money. Since there are no sponsors, every episode we record is like blowing our noses with hundred dollar bills. So before auto show season starts, we're going to take a break from podcasting to ensure we can do all the other things that make Autoblog great, like awesome auto show coverage and In the Autoblog Garage reviews. We'll be looking for sponsors in the meantime to take advantage of our audience and their dedicated ears. If you or your company would like to sponsor The Autoblog Podcast or The AutoblogGreen Podcast, give us a holla at podcast at autoblog dawt com.

So for now, thanks for listening, and we'll try not to be gone for too long if we can help it.

Autoblog Podcast #102

It's late, we know, but we're not a host short like last week! Chris, Sam, and Dan kick it about what's in the Autoblog Garage, the 2010 Camaro unveiling and other stuff that the Camaro overshadowed. What could possibly hold a candle to the Camaro officially rolling into that garage bay? Not much, but we touched on Honda's Prius clone fighter, as well as Malcolm Bricklin's legal action against Chery Motors after the breakup, but really, we spent a lot of time kicking the Camaro ball around, as it did happen to be the most excitement you could find without going racing. Hit us up at podcast at autoblog dot com with any questions/comments/suggestions, and thanks for listening!

Autoblog Podcast #101

We busted our humps getting to Podcast #100, and then promptly slacked off. Chris Shunk and Dan Roth make the effort this week to get Autoblog Podcast #101 out the door while the rest of the team remains difficult to corral. The usual banter about what's been in the Autoblog Garage starts us off before we dive headlong into the pithy GM news from earlier this week. Love it? Hate it? Send your comments, suggestions, or anything else to podcast at autoblog daht kahm. Thanks for listening!

Autoblog Podcast #100

Here it is in all its glory, Episode #100 of the Autoblog Podcast. We've finally made it. There's a new graphic, a big group of five people all talking on top of each other, and new music. Stay tuned, as we've got an excellent giveaway coming up soon (i.e. when fearless leader Neff gets back from his nuptials). We'd thought that #100 might go 100 minutes, but for your sake, that's not the case and we occupy only 50 minutes of your time this week. Thanks for listening and keep the feedback, commentary, and questions rolling in to podcast at autoblog daught com. See you next week!

Autoblog Podcast #99

Jeremy, Chris, and Dan push us right up to the cusp of three digits with Autoblog Podcast #99. The topics are wide and varied, such as motorcycles in the Autoblog Garage, the Acura NSX on the 'Ring, and Volkswagen's semi-bogus third-party fuel economy numbers. Some people thought last week's 'cast was too short, so this week, we fill an hour. Now for those of you who think this is too long, we really are trying to please everybody. See you next week for the epic extravaganza of Podcast #100. We're still taking suggestions, too -- hit us up at podcast at autoblog dotte comme.

Autoblog Podcast #98

We're back for a fifth week in a row, a recent record at the very least. Chris, Sam, and Dan edge us ever closer to number 100 with Autoblog Podcast #98. Of note this week, we cover the new SVT Truck from Ford, whatever it'll be called, as well as BMW's Light Visionary Model, the Le Mans finish, burnouts in a CTS-V, and the impending tumble into a gaping chasm of suck into which NBC might soon take us when the U.S.-spec Top Gear debuts. A stroll through the Autoblog Garage is in there, too, plus the usual insight and witticisms. Please keep the emails rolling in to podcast at autoblog dawt com with comments and suggestions, especially any good ideas for
the soon-arriving episode 100. Thanks for listening, see you next week!

Autoblog Podcast #97

Just in time for the weekend, we bring you episode #97 of the Autoblog Podcast. Our cast of characters rotates once again, with Jeremy Korzeniewski joining Chris and Sam to discuss such wide and varied interests as motorcycles, high performance Cadillacs and hybrids. The podcast was held up by some behind the scenes technical issues, and there's still a slight issue with Jeremy's feed, so don't be alarmed when you hear a glitch or two. We've now made it to four solid weeks of podcast action for everyone; thanks for listening, and tune in next week!

Autoblog Podcast #96

For three weeks in a row, now, we've brought you a new Autoblog Podcast courtesy of the B-Team. Here's episode #96 of the Autoblog Podcast, where Chris Shunk, Sam Abuelsamid, and Dan Roth kibbitz over some morsels of recent news. There's the requisite trip to the Autoblog Garage to start things off, then we move into actual discussion points like the CTS Wagon, a gasp of life on the Ford Ranger front, the massive confusion around Cerberus and Chrysler, and Hyundai's nose-thumbing at Toyota's hybrid technology. Remember to send in questions, comments, and suggestions for ways to mark the passing of upcoming episode #100 to podcast at autoblog dawt com. See you next week!

Autoblog Podcast #95

For Autoblog Podcast #95, we mix it up again, and this time Chris Shunk has corralled Alex Nunez and Sam Abuelsamid. We're using our time honored format -- we hit the Autoblog Garage first (some awesome stuff in it recently), then move on to news. We hit some nuggets like the LF-A crash, the Chevy Volt subsidies fight in Congress, and $10 airbags, to name a few. It all wraps up with some listener emails, one of our favorite parts of the podcast. We'll take the 'cast for another spin next week, thanks for listening!

Autoblog Podcast #94

In the interest of bringing you a weekly podcast, which Neff, Lavrinc and Nunez seem completely incapable of doing, we've drafted a B-Team of hosts and pressed them into service for Autoblog Podcast #94. In this episode, Chris Shunk, Sam Abuelsamid, and Dan Roth go over a few bits of recent news, discuss some Autoblog Garage vehicles, and answer reader emails. It should be no different than with the old hosts, except maybe funny this time and intellectually stimulating at the same time. Let us know what you think of our newly redoubled effort to get you podcasts in a more timely manner - opinions, tips, recipes; send it all to podcast at autoblog dawt com. Thanks for listening and see you next week!
