Yikes, isn't $465,000 a little much to pay for an EV1? But that's the amount that it seems someone paid for a 1998 model in British Columbia recently. That's just nuts. It's $465,000 Canadian, but still. We'll save our pennies for the B0 (B Zero) or the Nuvu, thank you.

We like us some non-gas-burning Porsches, like the converted Boxster MIIN-AER and the possible all-electric Cayman coming from Ruf. But you knew that already. What you might not know is that, with some electric vehicles, you need to Water and Charge your batteries regularly! Emphasis in original. I'm sure Chrysler will not require such nonsense with its new line-up of EVs, and we think up five concept cars the company could have used for its big EV rollout.

Been lookin' for an air-powered 1999 Porsche Boxster? Here's one, called the MIIN-AER. AutoblogGreen found it at the third annual Alt Car Expo, which starts today in Santa Monica. Over in Paris, they're getting ready for a VW Passat BlueTDI sedan and wagon, while Detroit is probably already salivating over the 550 new jobs that GM says the Volt will bring.

Does the image of John McCain driving around in one of his three GEM EVs make you like him more or less? Similarly, how 'bout this Senator with a plug-in Prius? Plug-in vehicles would've helped people in Nashville keep a cool head over the weekend when a rumor caused the whole town to run out of gas. Whoops.
